A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief
I was feeling a bit more ambitious than usual and so I decided to go ahead and record two videos tonight of some of my arrangements. Here is an arrangement that I did of “A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief”.
1st Song of Christmas Album Complete
So I know that I have been putting off my recording for way too long. I finally broke down the other night and began recording. Well, actually I revisited a song that I had previously recorded but hadn’t finished. I added some final touches and did some final mixing and I am not pleased to say that I have finished my first song of my Christmas Hymns Made of String album. I am hoping to have the album completed by fall of 2011. The song that I just finished is “What Child Is This”. You can actually get a free download now on my bandcamp site. Come Come Ye Saints
I found this video on Youtube and thought it was pretty cool. I wouldn’t consider myself a die hard Glenn Beck fan, or any other political commentator for that matter, but I think what he has to say here is very well put. We certainly owe a debt of gratitude to the early saints who sacrificed for the benefit of those who would come long after they had passed on. We enjoy a great deal of religious freedom today and apart from a few insults and rude remarks here and there on Youtube or blogs, we don’t have near the same worries that these early saints had. What a great message this song contains. All is certainly well.
A New Medley Arrangement of Primary Songs
Here is a new arrangement that I recently did for two of my favorite primary songs “Baptism” and “I Feel My Savior’s Love”. These are also two of my kids favorite songs as well, so I figured I would put them together in a nice little arrangement.
We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet
This is a video I put together set to a new arrangement I did of the hymn “We Thank Thee O God For a Prophet”
